Happy Thanksgiving
TCESD#2 Pflugerville Fire Department
would like to thank Graham Central Station
and Twin Liquors
for their generous donations this Thanksgiving.
With there help, many families had a wonderful
Thanksgiving feasting on home cooked turkey.
We would like to extend heart felt gratitude
for all
the hard work and effort that went into making
this Thanksgiving a truly special and thankful

Games Night

of the Youth after their “Messy Games Night”.
TCESD#2 Central Station in Pflugerville was
asked to come
to our church this past Sunday and helped the
youth really get cleaned up. They graciously
obliged
and the kids loved it! The following picture
shows the whole story.

Pflugerville Fire Department recognized at
fourth annual"Survivor Austin IV" |
TCESD#2 /Pflugerville
Fire Department fire fighters were recognized
along
with other Travis County First Responders at
the American Heart Association “Survivor Austin
IV”. This event is held annually for the victims
and the responders to meet and celebrate a successful
outcome. The event allows first responders to
see the results of their life saving efforts
and how it affects the individual and families
of the victim. It involves incidents where someone
presented with no pulse and was successfully
revived.
There were a total of 50 recognized saves in Travis
County in 2005 of those saved Firefighters along
with crews from Austin Travis County EMS and Pflugerville
Police Department played roles in 6 CPR/AED saves
in the district. This represents a high percentage
of success in the Pflugerville area in cardiac
events. Individuals recognized and in attendance
from Travis County ESD No. 2 were Captain Clint
Gray, Lt. Eric Harr, Lt. Vince Arthur, Firefighter
Greg Monroe, Firefighter Michael Strobo, Firefighter
Gabe Obiedo,
Firefighter Damon Vaughan, Firefighter Darren Morphis
and Firefighter Brandon Barkley. Those involved
in saves not attending were Apparatus Specialist
Michael Anderson, Apparatus Specialist Sean Dreas,
Apparatus Specialist Trevor Stokes, Firefighter
David Rodriguez, Firefighter Douglas Keeling and
Lt. Tim Wallace.

Last Sunday a car just missed the guardrail,
going over an embankment into the creek at
FM 685 near Dalshank with Terrance McCaty of
Del Valle still inside. The TCESD#2 Pflugerville
Fire and Police departments worked together
to remove the man and he was transported to
Brackenridge Hospital. |
