            Notice is hereby given that a Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners of Travis County Emergency Services District Number Two will be held on Thursday, October 14, 2004 at 6:00 p.m. at the Travis County Emergency Services District Number Two Headquarters, located at 203 East Pecan Street,  Pflugerville, Texas for the following purposes:

 

1.         Call meeting to order;

 

2.         Public Comment:  In accordance with the Texas Attorney General’s opinion, any public comment that is made on an item that is not on the published final agenda will only be heard by the Board of Commissioners.  No formal action, discussion, deliberation, nor comment will be made by the Board of Commissioners;

 

CONSENT ITEMS

 

3.         Discuss and consider taking action regarding approval of meeting minutes from September 9, 2004 Regular Meeting;

 

REPORTS

 

4.         Commissioners’ Reports, including responses to inquiries;

 

5.         Receive report from Treasurer and District’s Bookkeeper and consider taking related action, including:

 

            (a)        approval of monthly bills and invoices;

            (b)        approval of monthly financial report;

 

6.         Receive report from District’s Fire Chief and consider taking related action;

 

7.         Receive report from District’s Attorney and consider taking related action;

 

8.         Receive report from Pflugerville Volunteer Fire Department and consider taking related action;

 

9.         Receive report from EMS Advisory Board and consider taking action on related items including discussion of Austin/Travis County EMS issues;

 

DISCUSSION/ACTION ITEMS

 

10.       Discuss and consider taking action regarding proposal for audit services for fiscal year October 1, 2004 to September 30, 2004;

 

11.       Discuss and consider performance of District Fire Chief;

 

12.       Discuss and consider approval of contract for wireless services with IT-Pro1;

 

13.       Discuss and consider approval of Resolution Designating Surplus Property (radio tower equipment);

 

14.       Such other matters that may come before the Board of Commissioners;

The Board may retire into Executive Session any time between the meetings opening and adjournment for the purpose of consultation with legal counsel pursuant to Chapter 551.071 of the Texas Government Code; discussion of personnel matters pursuant to Chapter 551.074 of the Texas Government Code and/or discussion of real estate acquisition pursuant to Chapter 551.72 of the Texas Government Code.  Action, if any, will be taken in open session.
